So I emailed Black Duck Imports, the company that so kindly ships us SHEESE, a spectacular vegan cheese product. Here is the response, as I suspected:
Hi Keri-
Glad you like the Sheese.
You are correct - the Sheese is made in Scotland and shipped in pallets to us here in Florida. We take orders from individual stores and then ship it to them. If distributors wanted to pick it up, we would get the pallets to them for them to sell to the stores, but there are not enough stores with it right now to get a distributor interested. Hopefully that will happen soon.
Scott Myers responded in less than 24 hours, what a good guy. We are going to have to keep the compliments going out to them and begging for it in stores in our locale so that we don't have to feel guilty about our cheese traveling so far to get to our tummies. Soon enough, we will have a production site in the US because of the stupendous demand. Spread the word, and the Sheese.

Just found your blog, and that's all thanks to Sheese.
I live in Beijing, China, and along with several friends, we've started a vegan social club here (vegansocialclub.com), and we've decided we GOTTA get Sheese into restaurants here.
Surely, this could be a Long March to Vegan Pizza in the Forbidden City, but we're going to do our best.
The awesome people in Bute Island just sent us a package of Sheese samples, so that we can entice many of the Western restaurants here to use Sheese in their products, and hopefully get some distribution going here.
I just got the package today (which was expensive for Bute Island to send, and bless their dairy-free hearts for helping us get the process started).
So, it is my hope that by next August, when the Olympics takes over life-as-we-know-it in Beijing, there will be truly VEGAN CHEESE for international visitors who need it.
(Maybe we could establish some kind of Sheese Sister Cities project?)
Anyhow, I hope you get distributors for Sheese, because I think everyone on the planet has a self-evident and inalienable right to cruelty-free pizza.
